Here are a few quotes…

“There are two basic restrictions on marriage in the Bible: Number one, he should be a man. Number two, he should be a believer.”

“When Christ came into the world, He created a new Israel.  A new ethnic group, as it were, made up of every other ethnic group.  You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation…Once you were not a people.  Now you are God’s people.”

“Go ahead, marry across the lines inside the new humanity.”

“Moses married a Cushite, and everybody agrees that the Cushites are Black Africans.”

  1. At first I was wondering why he would even accept or answer what I see as a ridiculous question, but simultaneously I had to take a step back and realize the reality of beliefs or assumptions people hold. A reason why in 2000 Bob Jones University uplifted the ban on interracial relationships was due to the fact that they could not back it up with the Bible. At the end I found it reassuring that John Piper reaffirm that nowhere in the Bible is this found and brings forth examples of Biblical interracial relationships.
